About

I’m an independent strategic advisor and brand specialist. I help businesses, particularly creative ones, to grow.

I’m completely fascinated with the way technology adoption and the Internet are changing society and the way businesses compete. This blog is my attempt to capture thoughts on how brands must respond to these changes.

I’m always interested in talking to interesting folks. If you’re in New York City and fancy a coffee or a beer sometime, please get in touch. Maybe I can help. And if not, we can still have an interesting chat.

Prior to setting out and doing my own thing I spent ten fantastic years at the brand consultancy Wolff Olins. Most recently as the head of strategy for the US. It was here that I learned my trade, was lucky enough to work with some amazing people and helped triple the size of the US business.

If you want to get in touch for a chat or to potentially work together, please email me at bauloa@gmail.com

  1. Hello. My name is Alina Wheeler and I am the author of Designing Brand Identity: an essential guide for the whole branding team. I am about to write the 4th edition–my book is in 7 languages including Chinese and Russian. My third edition has two Wolff Olins case studies: Red and Beeline. Do you have any suggestions for some different case studies from your firm for the fourth edition? All best, Alina
